Mr. Ingram

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, pursuant to the answers of 14 July and 28 June,Official Report, column 169, why he is unwilling to list the specific organisations consulted in the recent review of his Department's research establishments; and if he will make a statement.

[holding answer 18 July 1988]: My right hon. and learned Friend explained to the House the conclusions of the review of the Department's research establishments in the answer he gave on 7 June, Official Report, columns 431–32. I do not propose to publish the review in full or give details of the process followed in producing it since it constituted my Department's advice on policy to Ministers.
