§ Mr. MoynihanThe association responded in detail to the consultation paper which we issued last autumn. A copy of its response has been placed in the Library. I met representatives of the association on 8 March. Among other things, we discussed the Government's proposal to introduce compulsory competition into the management of local authority sport and leisure facilities.
