§ Mr. SainsburyThe defence research programme is made up of 1,200 work items covering the major fields described on pages 57 and 58 of the "Annual Review of Government-funded R&D 1987". The aggregate cost is £400 million a year. It is not our policy to describe in detail the content and methods of the work.
