§ Mr. Flynn
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he has had any recent opportunity with(a) NATO allies and (b) officials from the Soviet Foreign Ministry to discuss progress in technical verification towards the completion of a comprehensive nuclear test ban treaty.

§ Mr. Mellor
The technical aspects of a comprehensive nuclear test ban treaty are regularly discussed in the722W conference on disarmament's ad hoc group of scientific experts to consider international measures to detect and identify seismic events. Its next meeting is planned for 7 to 18 March. Representatives of the Soviet Union and some NATO allies participate.
