Mr. JacksonStudents in higher education in Great Britain are more dependent on maintenance grants than those in other European Community countries. But a precise comparison of financial circumstances is very difficult because of the variety of forms that student support may take. The student support review group, under my chairmanship, is examining the available evidence.
