§ Mr. Gareth Wardell
To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will publish in theOfficial Report the number of (i) trainee physiotherapists, (ii) trainee speech therapists, (iii) trainee occupational therapists and (iv) trainee midwives (Royal College of Midwives) entering courses in Wales during each of the past 10 years.

The information requested for trainee physiotherapists, trainee occupational therapists and trainee midwives is not available centrally on an all-Wales basis. Information on the number of first year entrants into speech therapy courses at colleges of higher education is available for Wales from 1979–80 and is as follows:
