To ask the Secretary of State for Energy, pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Newport, West,Official Report, 26 November 1987, column 279, on nuclear safeguards, if he will give the period judged by his Department that would not incur disproportionate cost; and if he will publish the information in the format previously requested for the period from May 1979 to 31 March 1986.

Each year safeguards inspectors from Euratom and-or the International Atomic Energy Agency make frequent visits to United Kingdom civil nuclear facilities.
