To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to bring into force the remaining sections of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987.

We aim to make a further commencement order in March 1988 for parts II, III and IV (dealing respectively with the appointment by the court of managers, the compulsory acquisition of the landlord's interest in certain circumstances and the variation of leases) and to bring the remaining provisions into force as soon as possible thereafter.
