§ Mr. Moore[holding answer 17 December 1987]: Figures for total spending by my Department on television radio and newspaper advertising and other promotional literature in 1987–88 are as follows:
£ Television 7,668,000 Radio 1,420,000 Newspapers 8,232,000 Other promotional literature 6,720,000 Total 24,040,000 For 1988–89 detailed decisions on expenditure by media have not yet been taken, but the overall publicity figure is expected to be £18 million.
