To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what are his priorities for health care in the area covered by the North Western regional health authority.

Health care priorities are set by individual health authorities in the light of national and regional policies taking into account local circumstances.

Priorities for the North Western region are outlined in the region's short-term programme for 1987–88, a copy of which is in the Library.
