HC Deb 13 January 1988 vol 125 c329W
Mr. Michael Brown

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what steps are being taken to ensure that general practitioners are up to date in modern toxic distress allergies and environmental illnesses.

Mr. Newton

The management of allergies and environmental illnesses feature in the undergraduate medical curriculum and in vocational training for general practice. Established general practitioners decide how best to keep their knowledge up to date; they may also refer patients to physicians specialising in allergic disorders and specialists in occupational medicine.
