§ Mrs. CurrieLocal health authorities are responsible for the provision of services for drug misusers. Since 1986–87, regional health authorities have been allocated an extra £5 million a year specifically for the development of these services. Funds from this allocation have been used to set up advice and counselling services in South West Durham, North West Durham and Darlington health authorities; a limited advice and counselling service is also available in Durham health authority, for more information, the hon. Member may like to contact the chairmen of these authorities.
