To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what compensation will be offered to Magheramorne owner-occupiers, the sale of whose property is blighted by the proposal to develop the largest rubbish dump in Northern Ireland at Magheramorne.

Mr. Needham

There is no provision in the planning legislation for the payment of compensation to third parties as a result of planning decisions. In any event a decision has not yet been reached on the proposal.
