§ Sir John Biggs-DavisonTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the progress of the NI 2000 programme for cleaning up the environment in the Province.
§ Mr. ViggersThe NI 2000 board was appointed on 20 January 1988. Since then two meetings have been held to plan operational strategies for the promotion of environmental improvement projects. Already proposals for projects have been received from both the public and private sectors and I look forward to receiving progress reports from the chairman of NI 2000.
