HC Deb 24 February 1988 vol 128 cc241-2W
Mr. Goodlad

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what are the 10 most frequently performed surgical operations carried out in (a) the Crewe, (b) the Chester and (c) the Halton health district: and what estimates he has of the average cost of each type in each area.

Mrs. Currie

The table shows estimates from a 10 per cent. sample of hospital records for 1985. The operations shown are those from OPCS condensed list of operations—third revision—which identify specifically groups of related procedures. No information is available for Halton, as Halton district general hospital opened during 1985.
