Mr. Hume

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what figures are available to indicate the number of four-year-olds in Northern Ireland, the number of three-year-olds and the proportion of the population which is under five years old.

The latest available figures, taken from the 1986 mid-year population estimates, are as follows:
