To ask the Prime Minister, further to her statement on the meeting of the EEC Council, 15 February,Official Report, columns 705–17, whether she will include in the Official Report her estimates of the amount now made available to the EEC under our reserves, including the United Kingdom rebate, in terms of the original value added tax contributions.

The new ceiling on the Community's own resources, excluding the United Kingdom's abatement, of 1.2 per cent. of Community gross national product is equivalent to a 1.9 per cent. value added tax ceiling defined as at present to include the United Kingdom abatement. The corresponding abatement-exclusive VAT figure is 1.72 per cent.
