§ Mr. Hinchliffe
To ask the Lord President of the Council if he will introduce legislation to extend to the House of Commons the requirements of the health and safety Acts.

§ Mr. Wakeham
No. I have no such proposals. The authorities of the House seek to ensure that the provisions of these Acts are met wherever possible. It has been the practice of inspectors of the Health and Safety Executive to visit the House at the request of the House authorities.
