To ask the Prime Minister if she will make a statement on the present division of ministerial responsibility for the Forestry Commission as between the Scottish Office and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

The Prime Minister

The Secretary of State for Scotland and the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food exercise their responsibilities for the Forestry Commission's territorial activities in relation to Scotland and England respectively. General policy and other matters affecting Great Britain as a whole are dealt with
