§ Mrs. CurrieFacilities to test for the presence of chlamydial infection are readily available at NHS laboratories. Research is proceeding to investigate the prevalance of chlamydial infection in patients attending ante-natal, genito-urinary medicine and family planning clinics, in order to determine at risk groups; and to establish whether there is any justification for screening pregnant women for this infection.
