To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what information he has on the current closure of the Sudbury to Bures section of the Sudbury to Colchester railway line and the likely date for reopening; and if he will make a statement.

I understand that the board is currently working to clear the bank slip which, recently closed the line between Sudbury and Marks Tey, and that it hopes to reopen the line as soon as possible. In the meantime, a bus shuttle service is in operation.
