To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he next proposes to have discussions with the European Community Council of Ministers about European monetary matters.

The next meeting of the European Community's Council of Economic and Finance Ministers is expected to be on 7 March. The agenda for that meeting has not yet been decided.
