§ The Prime MinisterInformation on publicity costs, including advertising is held centrally only where the expenditure is incurred through the Central Office of Information. All other publicity and information expenditure is a matter for each Department.
Expenditure on advertising by the Central Office of Information on behalf of all Government Departments for the financial year 1986–87 was £104 million inclusive of COI overheads and value added tax.
