§ Mr. FreemanIn 1987, a total of 70 search and rescue sorties were carried out by helicopters based at RAF Brawdy, resulting in the following numbers of persons being recovered:
Military Civilian Total 3 19 262 74 1 Category includes merchant seamen and civilians on passenger vessels for example, ferries. 2 Other civilians, including fishermen, pleasure craft and those rescued on land.
