To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth. Affairs if he has asked the Government of the Irish Republic to list the precise objections held by them to the administration of justice in Northern Ireland; and if he will make a statement.

The Government of the Republic of Ireland have made known to us their concerns about the present arrangements for the administration of justice in Northern Ireland. They have put forward a number of proposals for change which we have considered as part of our continuing commitment to enhancing public confidence in the administration of justice in Northern Ireland.
