§ Mr. Nicholas BennettTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what has been the rate of deaths per 10,000 women having D and C operations in Scotland in each of the last 25 years for which figures are available of(a) anaesthetic deaths arising directly or indirectly out of such operations, (b) deaths due to embolism directly or indirectly linked to such operations, and (c) other deaths directly due to such operations; and if he will break down this rate by whether or not the D and C operation also involved an abortion.
