HC Deb 02 February 1988 vol 126 c540W
Mr. Key

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is proposing any further change to the Central Office of Information's cash limit for 1987–88.

Mr. Brooke

Subject to parliamentary approval of the necessary Supplementary Estimate, the cash limit for class XIX, vote 1, will be increased by £9,468,000 from £141,032,000 to £150,500,000. The increase will be offset by reimbursements by the clients of the Central Office of Information and will not therefore add to the planning total of public expenditure. There will be a decrease of £1,164,000 in the Central Office of Information running costs, from £20,164,000 to £19,000,000, following a reduction in staff numbers.
