§ Mr. Peter BottomleyWe have three schemes on the trunk road sections of the route. Two of these, A303 Ilminster bypass and A5 Dorchester bypass, are due to be completed in the summer and autumn respectively. The third scheme, A303 Ilchester-South Petherton, should start construction in the second half of this year. Dorset and Somerset county councils also have their own programmes of major road improvements and aim to bring the rest of this route up to a satisfactory standard.
