HC Deb 21 December 1988 vol 144 c326W
Mr. Aspinwall

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether a decision has yet been made to continue after 1988 the special annual quota of work permits for workers from the dependent territories whose level of skill is below that required by the general work permit scheme.

Mr. Lee

Yes. It has been decided that the quota for 1989 will be 200—the same as this year. Within the figure of 200, no more than 150 permits will be allowed for any one territory.
