HC Deb 19 December 1988 vol 144 c121W
47. Mr. Simon Hughes

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he has any plans to suspend the six months qualifying date for disability premium in cases such as AIDS or cancer.

Mr. Scott

We have no plans to do so at the present time. The income support scheme is being monitored, and the premium structure will be reviewed in the light of the results of that exercise and of the OPCS surveys of disability in Great Britain.
