What are the numbers of persons deported from the United Kingdom in 1986, 1987 and 1988 to date, and how those numbers are composed in relation to ethnic origin.

Information on the ethnic origin of those deported is not available. An analysis by nationality, distinguishing between New Commonwealth and Pakistan, and other nationalities, is published in Table 24 of Control of Immigation: Statistics United Kingdom 1987 (Cmnd. 415). The corresponding analysis for the first three quarters of 1988 is:
