To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what action he intends to take in the case of Mr. P. J. Haseldine of the information department of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office following publication of a letter from him inThe Guardian of 7 December.

The matter is being considered in accordance with procedures laid down in diplomatic service regulations. The action to be taken will depend on the outcome of this consideration.
