§ Mr. Michael ForsythThe most recent information about the number of disabled adults in Scotland is contained in the first report of a survey of disability in Great Britain, issued by the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys on 28 September 1988. The report's estimate of the number of disabled adults in Scotland is 611,000, of whom 125,000 are in the least severe of 10 severity categories. A report on the number of disabled children (which forms a part of the survey) will be issued next summer.
