HC Deb 09 December 1988 vol 143 cc370-1W
Mr. Alton

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy why the figure for the amount of plutonium produced by British civil nuclear power stations for the year ended 31 March was rounded up to the nearest 50 kg; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Michael Spicer

The figures have to be rounded to take account of the fact that the plutonium content of irradiated fuel elements is calculated.
