To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will give the estimated number of people who have been transferred from the community programme to the employment training programme in (a) Great Britain, (b) Scotland, (c) the Lothian region and (d) Edinburgh.

[holding answer 5 December]: No community programme participants have been transferred to employment training. However, most community programme participants are eligible to join employment training and many have chosen to take up the worthwhile training opportunities that are available.
