§ Mr. SainsburyA minor explosion occurred at AWE Burghfield in the early hours of 2 December during routine burning of surplus conventional explosive. There was no personal injury and no danger to the work force or public at any time and, to the best of our knowledge, no damage was caused outside the establishment. It is not our policy to disclose the nature or location of nuclear weapons; however no radioactive material was involved in this incident.
