§ Mr. John Garrett
To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what plans he has to increase the staff of the nuclear installations inspectorate.

§ Mr. Nicholls
The Health and Safety Executive plans to increase the number of nuclear installations inspectors working in the inspectorate from the current level of 127.5 (1 November 1988) to 140 by 1 April 1989.
