§ Mr. Malcolm RifkindAfter privatisation the electricity supply industry will continue to be responsible for decisions about its own research and development and the operation of its nuclear power stations. The Government's role in energy research and development will remain the responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Energy.
