§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonOver the last seven years five major improvement schemes, plus several minor improvements, have been completed on the Al. There are proposals for a bypass of Cockburnspath, currently the subject of a public local inquiry, and for junction improvements on the Haddington bypass. Planned improvements do not extend to Lamberton.
