To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he has any plans to remove Crown immunity from health and safety legislation from the public health laboratory service.

No. The public health laboratory service is required to comply with the terms of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and, where necessary, is subject to enforcement through the Crown notice procedure.
