In view of the current problems of both sections of the Department of Health and Social Security, whether they will create two new departments to replace it; one for social security matters and the other for health and related issues, as was previously the case.
§ The Lord Privy Seal (Lord Belstead)My right honourable friend the Prime Minister keeps the allocation of functions between Ministers and departments under regular review. No changes affecting the Department of Health and Social Security are currently planned.
