HC Deb 20 April 1988 vol 131 cc458-9W
Ms. Richardson

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what child care provision his Department provides for pre-school age children of the Department's employees; what child care provision for school holiday and/or after school care is provided for employees' children aged five and over; what plans there are for increasing provision in the next five years; and how these are to be funded.

Mrs. Chalker

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has no child care provision at present, either for the preschool age group or for those aged five and over.

There is a proposal to provide child care facilities for the pre-school age group and/or a holiday play scheme. Both would be user-funded.
