To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the circumstances surrounding the crash of a Royal Air Force Tornado in Nevada in late March.

On the 30 March a Royal Air Force Tornado GR 1 of 20 Squadron, RAF Laarbruch crashed in the Nevada desert, USA during the course of the tactical flying exercise, Green Flag. Both crew safely ejected.

The Royal Air Force has convened a board of inquiry into this accident, which will examine fully all the circumstances with a view to establishing its cause, and preventing recurrence. A summary of the board's findings will be published in due course in the usual way.
