§ Mr. Ralph HowellTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services, pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Norfolk, North on 26 November 1987,Official Report, columns 319–21, if he will list in league order, with the highest at the top, by acreage of land held, district health authority areas within the National Health Service in England, showing the valuation in each case (a) before the recent revaluation and (b) at the present valuation as decided by the district valuer.
§ Mrs. Currie[pursuant to her reply, 18 February 1988, c. 694]: The preliminary aggregation of the 1987 returns from district valuers has now been completed. The open market value of the NHS estate of approximately 44,000 acres was about £6.8 billion at 1987 prices. This figure is subject to revision as the returns are analysed in detail. A breakdown of the respective 1985 and 1987 valuations by district health authority in a league order by site areas has been placed in the Library.
