To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will exercise his powers under section 22(2) of the Local Government Finance Act 1982 to require the National Audit Commission to direct an extraordinary audit of the accounts of the Nottingham city council in respect of the sale of the Hyson Green flats site for £3.7 million in the light of its market value of £10 million; and if he will make a statement.
