§ Mr. RentonThe numbers of persons removed from the United Kingdom, after being refused entry at a port, for the years 1979 to 1986 are given in table 4.2 of the Home Office publication "Immigration Nationality and Passports—A Report on the Work of the Departments; October 1987" a copy of which is in the Library. The corresponding figure for 1987 was 19,319.
