§ Mr. Peter BottomleySupport for minor road schemes in London was not itemised separately before the change to the transport supplementary grant system in 1985–86. Since then support for minor works, including urban traffic control, through the grant has increased from £5 million in that year to £10 million in 1986–87 and £16 million in the current financial year.
