From June 1983 the data was collected from the publications "Enterprise Zone Information 1983–84" and "Enterprise Zone Information 1984–85", both by the Department of the Environment. There were differences between the methods used. Thus the changes between 1981–83 and 1983–85 may be due in part to differences in definition. 2 Data not available. 3 The data for Belfast and Londonderry Enterprise Zones extends to September 1985.
