HC Deb 26 October 1987 vol 121 c175W
Mr. Matthew Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what provision have the Government made for the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly health authority to implement pay rises whilst remaining within its expenditure budget.

Mrs. Currie

Cornwall and Isles of Scilly health authority has received a cash allocation this year of £79.6 million, 8.6 per cent. more than in 1986–87. The allocation includes a special addition to help health authorities maintain and develop services following this year's review body awards. Health authorities must take the necessary steps to balance the cost of service developments against other cost pressures.
