HC Deb 26 October 1987 vol 121 cc10-1W
Mr. Sedgemore

asked the Prime Minister (1) if she will instruct Ministers at the Department of Trade and Industry to investigate alleged fraud under the Companies Acts when hon. Members of Parliament send them evidence;

(2) if she will instruct Ministers at the Department of Trade and Industry to investigate alleged fraud under the Companies Act when High Court judges find that there is prima facie evidence of such fraud.

The Prime Minister

Decisions on Companies Act investigations are for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry and not for me.
